Museum of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) is located on the road HM Joni No. 51 Medan, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Museum of North Sumatra (North Sumatra) has a collection of statues and ornaments of the bride-ornamenya of the major tribes in North Sumatra, such as Malay, Toba Batak, Karo, Simalungun, Angkola, Mandailing, Pak-Pak, and Nias.

Since peresmianya in 1982 by the Ministry of Education and Culture, North Sumatra Musuem has a 6799 collection of historical objects are divided into 10 types, namely geologika collection, a collection of rock types, objects of natural formations as well as various minerals and rocks. Then there are also collections biologika, etnografika collection depicting ethnic identity in North Sumatra.

Museum collections such as North Sumatra arkeologika, objects of cultural heritage the prehistoric period until the entry of cultural influences barat.Koleksi arkeologika famous museum is in between, Piringsapa and Pustaha Lak-lak Toba Batak cultural heritage. The rest is a collection of historika, numismatika, filologika, keramologika, fine arts and the berteknologika.
