Bangka Belitung Welcomes Seychelles Bids

Pangkalpinang, KOMPAS.com - Department of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar) Province of Bangka Belitung (Babel), welcomed the initiative of cooperation countries interested in developing the island of Seychelles Islands as an international tourist destination. "We enthusiastically responded to the offer Ambassador to Seychelles because the country has experienced the island to develop tourism respected in the international level," said Head Disbudpar Babel, Yan Megawandi in Pangkalpinang on Wednesday (08/03/2011).
Seychelles is a former French and British colony which has 115 islands in the Indian Ocean or 1,500 kilometers east northeast Africa or Madagascar.

The country gained independence from Britain in 1976 as well as incoming members of the Commonwealth, while the largest population of African ethnicity, France, India and China and has a few natives and in communication in French and English.

Yan said the natural conditions similar to the Seychelles island of Belitung, but tourism in the country today is more advanced because it addressed more seriously. "I have already discussed the offer of cooperation with the Governor of Babylon, Eko Maulana Ali to look directly into the Seychelles and learn what has been done by the government and society to resemble the country's tourism to become a favorite destination of international tourists," he said.
