Three Gili Lotim Develop Tourism

Selong, KOMPAS.com - District of East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara attempt to develop the tourism potential of the three dyke (small islands), namely Gili Kondo, lote and Gili Sambelia Petagan in the District.

Head of Culture and Tourism of East Lombok, H. Selong Gufranuddin on Monday (7/11/2011) said, the development of a tourist attraction three dyke will be done by cooperating with investors from Jakarta, PT Beach Love (PCK). "We've membicakan intensively with investors who will be developing a tourist attraction three dyke. PT PCK has launched an expose about the planned development of tourism," he said.

He said tourism has the potential of the three gili decent for sale. If it really developed will impact on economic development not only for governments, but also for people who are around the area's attractions.

According Gufranuddin, maritime tourism potential is quite attractive with beautiful white sandy beaches, perfect for surfing, diving and nearby there are mangrove forests which will add to the beauty of the sights of three dyke.

"The beauty of the three dyke attractions are not inferior to other existing tourist sites in other districts in NTB. Therefore, these places need to be addressed to attract tourists to visit this area," he said.

Number of dyke in East Lombok, continued Gufranuddin, tens, but that will be developed is currently focused on three dyke attractions in the northern region of East Lombok.

Investors who will invest in three Gili has now started to make corrections attractions in Gili lamp which is the pathway to get to the region "Peterando" or Petagan Gili, Gili lote and Kondo.

"Development of three dyke attractions will promote tourism without damaging the environment based on what already exists at that location. Obstacles that we in developing tourism in East Lombok is the limited budget," he said.
